W1 is the deliberately small test: an AI-designed, worm-like undulating crawler with printable body parts, a starting firmware image, simulation videos, and a verification report. The point is not a polished product. The point is finding out whether the loop survives contact with a real build.

The first build is a falsification.

The report says 12/12 simulated gates are green, while also naming what remains unresolved: real friction, servo lag, trims, battery power, exact part selections, firmware compilation, and hardware verification. That is the right public posture. W1 is not “proven”; W1 is the smallest honest experiment that can make the AI-design claim more concrete.
